Mad Art Glass

 


   

Michael Maddy and Rina Fehrensen began their business, Mad Art Glass in 1997.  Since that time their studio has grown from a small business in the back of their home to the 3500 square foot facility it is today. Living and working in the San Diego area provides an ideal atmosphere to create whimsical, and lively pieces.Both Michael and Rina began their adventure in art in another medium, but found each other and glass at Palomar Jr.College in San Marcos, California. Michael studies in art began at Humbolt State in Northern California. Rina studied at the University of California San Diego as well as such prestigious schools at Pilchuck in Stanwood, Washington, Haystack in Maine, and Bildwerk Glass School in Germany.

     Each piece is hand blown, and requires many hours of preparation. Michael and Rina make and fashion all their glass in their studio. I am privileged to represent them in my gallery.

 

Molly Stone and Michael Cohn Art Glass

             

Michael Cohn and Molly Stone create a vast assortment of work. From their bird's nests, to their bowls, vases, acorn paperweights, and more I've carried them all. Their collection of blown glass fruit it right at the top of their products. Over sized at 13" tall and  over 6" wide the pear is a stand alone sculpture. These pieces are hand blown by the artists. The coloring is all glass with no painting involved.  Couple it with the peach, apple or even the tomato and you have  real centerpiece. Molly and Michael also make a variety of gourds, and pumpkins in many colors. You will not find any better quality.
