I have known Elodie Holmes for over 25 years. I first met her at a wholesale craft market in Philadelphia, pA. She was so energetic about her work and life itself. The vibrancy, color, and form of her work captured me, and I immediately decided to represent her in my Gallery. I have never been disappointed.
Elodie's work has evolved as most good artists work does. She still makes her signature dancing people vases, which have consistently been a hit. Over the years she has added fruit. GIANT sized fruit, She makes beautiful ornaments. She has added her Mystery Opal, and Murrine line, as well as her collaborative sculpture which she does with Jannine Cabossel. The work I love the most however is her Aurora Sculptures. These pieces have been constantly changing. Some of them have viewing windows in them that appear to have clear glass set in. Originally they were set on a fixed stand. Now Elodie has them on a rotating stand that better suites her work. Her color too have evolved to be amazingly dynamic. Actually breathtaking is a better description.
Elodi lives and in Santa Fe,New Mexico an ideal place for an artist. She is full of life and loves each day in her studio creating her art. Knowing Elodie it is no wonder her work is beautiful.
